My Experience With Airtel







Hi friends after a long break (really long) I am writing something new on my blog and this time I am sharing my experience with airtel ( country’s top service provider).

Friends I am a loyal customer of airtel prepaid mobile service since may 2010, I choose airtel consciously because of it’s fantastic network and good customer service, but, after a couple of months they proved me wrong.

My friends always complaints about hidden charges and activation of value added services without any prior permission but I never experienced it before july 2010.In july 2010 I noticed that 1 or 2 Rs is deducting from my account balance without any valid reason but I ignored it because of 2 reasons, first, the amount was less, second, I am not sure that balance is deducted for what reason.

One day my friend told me that send a sms TO 121 and then you will know about last 5 transactions against value added services and I was shocked, in last 5 days 20 Rs were deducted from my account and 1 Rs were deducting every day and when I call to customer care the executive was ready to refund 15 Rs and then I request him to stop all the value added services (VAS) immediately, and don’t start any VAS without my permission and I forgot that episode.

Friends after a month I realized that same thing is happening again and, I again sent a sms to 121 and I found the same thing, they were charging me everyday for some unknown reasons this time I had an altercation with customer care executive and again he is ready to refund me 15 Rs and this time I warned him don’t start any VAS on my no.

After a few days I received a sms that you have been subscribed to bipasha blog and Rs15 is deducted from my account balance and when I call to customer care executive, I got very strange response and he said we can’t refund your money we don’t have any policy regarding money refund and then I said transfer my call to your senior and he said o.k. but actually he cancelled the call, and after that I tried at least 10 times but not even once my call is transferred to customer care executive after 2 days I again called and again had an altercation with the customer care executive and he refunded that 10 Rs and I decided to change my service provider, but I don’t want to change my no. that’s why I continued with airtel.

Friends on 6th march at 10.40 p.m. I received a sms,  for some java game you have been charged 15 Rs and after 1 min. 1 more rupee is deducted from my account, and then on 8th march at 9.54 p.m. I received the same message and again 15 Rs is deducted from my account,and on 10th march at 9.23 a.m. I received a message ‘thanks for using Airtel TV subscription service from Airtel. You have been charged Rs 20' and I tried at least 16 times but my call is not transferred to customer care executive.



It was beyond my tolerance level and on 11th march I sent a sms MNPMY MOBILE NO. TO 1900 for mobile number portability and after few hours I received a sms from 1901 regarding my portability request and my porting i.d. and on 14th march I received a sms that your request for MNP is registered successfully but airtel people are highly consistent in their performance without any delay they deducted Rs 3 from my account balance on 15th march at 8.35 a.m. and on 4.16 p.m. I received a call of ashwini from airtel she wants to know the reason why I am switching from airtel to some other network and when I told her about my experience then she said I will refund your 15 Rs and please don’t switch give us a last chance but I said no, enough is enough now I don’t have any more money to pay you without any reason and after this she said sir due to some technical reason I can’t shift you on other network please continue with airtel (by this execuse she is trying to stop me) then I replied in any case I will not continue with airtel, one last favour if you can do please transfer me to my desired service provider otherwise I will buy the sim card of that opertator but I will not continue with airtel that’s for sure.

Friends I know that you will find it boring but the motive to write this experience is that most of us our paying hidden charges to these companies without any reason and in their ad. campaigns these companies are claiming that we are offering best network, best customer service, no hidden charges and on the other hand they are cheating their customers.

Friends recently airtel spend a huge amount on it’s rebranding, they are trying to be global in fact they have alredy started their services in 19 countries in asia and africa but if they are offering this kind of services in their own country then how they will attract the customers in another continent?

Why companies like Airtel are cheating their customers?

Because Indian customers are very patient they will tolerate upto their tolerance level and after that they will switch to another telecom service provider silently, without any complaint and once a customer will switch to another service provider companies will target another customer.

Second thing is Indian customers are not aware about their rights that’s why they tolerates all these unethical and illegal practices of these big companies.

My motive to write this blog is if you are also facing such problems then share it and now we have the no. portability option and you can change your service provider without changing your no. and for that you have to send a sms to 1900 and friends, no. portability will cost you only 19 Rs.
